Terms of sale
What we undertake to do, what we ask of you, and what happens when something does not go as planned.
1. Who we are
Manarol is a 3D printing workshop based in Lyon, France, reachable at contact@manarol.com and on Instagram (@manarol3d). We produce 3D printed objects, either from our catalogue or to order from your files, your photos or your descriptions.
We work with individuals and businesses alike. Orders are made in France and shipped throughout Europe and the United Kingdom.
2. What you are ordering
Every order is defined by the summary shown before payment: the piece, its material, its colour, its size in millimetres, the layer height, the infill, the finishes chosen and the quantity. That summary is what counts, not an earlier conversation.
Objects are made by depositing molten material, layer by layer. Layer lines remain visible on every printed piece, even after sanding. This is not a manufacturing fault but a property of the process, described in our frequently asked questions.
The largest volume printable in one piece is 256 × 256 × 256 mm. Beyond that, the piece is split into parts, glued and finished: a join then remains visible. You are told this and accept it before production begins.
3. Prices and quotes
Prices are in euros (EUR), inclusive of tax where applicable, excluding delivery charges, which are shown separately.
Any price shown before we have sliced your file is an estimate. It is calculated automatically from the volume, the height and the options chosen. The final price comes from actually slicing the file in our production software.
If the final price exceeds the estimate by more than 10%, we send you a revised quote with our reasons, and no production begins before you explicitly accept it. You may refuse: the order is then cancelled at no charge and any deposit paid is returned to you in full. If the final price is lower than the estimate, the lower amount is what you are charged.
No order is invoiced below 6 €.
4. Payment
Your order is a quote first. We receive it, we weigh and measure the parcel, and then we send you the price of the piece, the real carriage to your address and a way to pay. Nothing is taken from you until you have accepted that quote, and nothing goes into production before it.
A deposit of 30% of the total is required before production begins for any piece made to order. That deposit covers the material and the time spent on an object which, being made for you, cannot be sold to anyone else.
5. Lead times
Every order shows a real ready date, calculated from the estimated print time and how loaded our machine is. That date is on your tracking page.
A technical fault, a failed print or running out of material can move that date. If that happens we tell you the same day, with a new date. A print that fails through our own fault is run again at our cost.
Lead times are given in working days and include neither Sundays nor public holidays.
6. Your files and your rights
By sending us a file, a photo or a description, you declare that you hold the rights needed to reproduce it. We reserve the right to refuse any order for an object plainly protected by a copyright or a trademark you do not own, and for a weapon, a weapon part, or any object whose manufacture French law forbids.
Your files are used only for your order. We do not sell them, publish them, or reuse them for another customer. They are kept for six months so a reprint is possible, then deleted — or immediately, at your request.
We may photograph the pieces we produce and publish those photographs, unless you ask us not to before delivery. No personal data accompanies them.
7. Modelling to order
When we create the 3D model (from photos or from a description), two rounds of revisions are included in the price, so long as they stay within the original brief. A change in the nature of the project is the subject of a new quote, sent to you before any further work.
No printing starts before you have approved the model.
8. Delivery
We ship throughout Europe and the United Kingdom from our workshop. Carriage depends on the weight of the parcel and on the destination country: we weigh your order and tell you the exact figure, with a way to pay it, before anything is made. All orders are shipped: there is no collection in person.
It is for you to give an accurate address and phone number. A further delivery attempt made necessary by a wrong address or repeated absence may be charged at the current delivery rate.
9. If something goes wrong
The conditions for returns, reprints and refunds are set out on the returns and refunds page, which forms part of these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, we undertake to look for an amicable solution before any legal action.
If you are a consumer resident in another European Union state or in the United Kingdom, choosing French law does not deprive you of any protection given to you by the law of your country of residence, and you keep the right to bring proceedings before its courts.
11. Changes
We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one in force when you place it, and you receive a copy by email with your confirmation.
